Event Details

Following the Government’s announcements of 16 March, Codsall Arts Festival Committee has agreed with Nick Grew that the performance on Wed 25th March will not take place due to circumstances beyond our control (coronavirus).

Nick Grew is a Sculptor and Consultant Head and Neck Cancer and Facial Reconstructive Surgeon. His work includes portrait, figurative and abstract sculpture.

He was made an Associate of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in 2016. His work is held and exhibited in public and private collections nationally. Nick was winner of the Sarasin and Partners National Fine Art Prize in 2014 and the Halls Shropshire and Staffordshire Artists Prize 2016. His sculpture “Childhood” is a public commission which is to be installed at the Nuffield Hospital Wolverhampton.

Nick’s talk describes his reflections on the common threads he has found in his personal practice of Surgery and Art. This shows the broader relationship between Art and Surgery in general.
